This announcement came today from Per-Se technologies, the makers of Lytec:

Microsoft is preparing to make its newest operating system, Microsoft Windows Vista, generally available to the public in early 2007. At this time, Lytec has not yet completed full compatibility testing with Microsoft Windows Vista. We do not recommend using any version of Lytec with Microsoft Windows Vista at this time.

Lytec cannot make any guarantee of, or warranty the stability or functionality of, any version of Lytec used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows Vista. We expect compatibility testing to be complete this summer. A VAR/customer bulletin will be issued when Microsoft Windows Vista has satisfactorily passed all testing and is certified for use with Lytec products.

It is our intention to have Lytec 2007 tested using Vista Business edition only, in both the 32- and 64-bit solutions. No other versions of Vista will be tested or supported. Lytec 2007 is the only version that will be updated for Vista compatibility.

We just now received our huge order of Lytec software from Per-Se Technologies. Over the next few days we will be processing the order and pre-registering as many copies as we can. Lytec 2007 Ships on Friday, December 8, 2006!

The highly anticipated release of Lytec 2007 with Claims Manager is set to release this Friday, December 8, 2006, which signals the conclusion of Lytec 2006 sales. ALL Lytec 2006 sales will stop promptly at 2:00PM MST (1:00PM PT/3:00PM CT/4:00PM ET) on Thursday December 7, 2006.

This means we will probably be shipping software discs to our upgrading customers on or around December 18. This allows the software time to arrive at our office from Phoenix, AZ, and allows us time to process our many orders to make sure everyone gets exactly what they ordered. Installation will be performed by appointment only, and appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. As always, we do not recommend our customers try to install Lytec 2007 on their own, due to both the complexity of the program and the nature of a brand new version with new requirements. Most (if not all) of our upgrading customers were given free remote installation with the purchase of the program, so there's no reason not to take advantage of our expertise!
