Lytec 2006 SP3 Update instructions and what it corrected

In the past few days we have been updating Lytec 2006 to Service Pack 3 and have experienced a great deal of success from the patch. As many 2006 users may know, many reports have been running slow and in some cases, like the Insurance Aging report, barely running at all. The service pack has improved this dramatically as well as optimized many other features. Here is a complete list of fixes.

If you choose to download and install Lytec 2006 SP3, here are some basic instructions to get you started:

1. Backup all Lytec practices from within Lytec 2006 on your server! There will be a very small data conversion the first time you open Lytec after the update.
2. Run SP3 on the server first, when the option for Program Type appears, make the appropriate choice (hint; check the serial number on the back of your box to learn the correct version).
3. From this point on we will take the default options on everything except one.
4. On this screen deselect Install SQL Admin Utility and continue.
5. The installation will complete with an error which should be ignored.
6. After you click ok, now open Lytec on the server and open the practice. The program will now guide you through the data conversion process.
7. Finally, install SP3 on each computer
